I have Vista and 30gb of music on a NAS drive. When I told WMP to monitor
shared folder with the music on it; it started building library and gave me a
window that stated that I could close it but the build woud be slowed as a
result. I did not want to slow that down, the problem is based on the current
pace it is working my library will be built in about 14 to 16 days.
This seems really crazy, I am wandering why it takes so long. Is this normal?

    Thanks Neil
So OK, I will just wait weeks for finish.

    BTW:
I just noticed a new little icon in the tray of my other PC XP Pro when I
clicked on it a window popped up that said the other PC is requesting access
to the music files on this PC do I want to allow this and when I did say yes
my hard drive started going nuts and the system slowed down I was not able to
find how to stop the actions so I rebooted. How do I manage the access
of/from the XP PC now? Do you know. I didn't put the XP PC in my watch
    folders list.
I guess I am just a WMP newbee.
