I am having a problem with Media Player 9 and am unable
to find any reference to it in the knowledge base.

On my system, I am running an ATI Radeon 9800 with 128Mb
ram and a Philips 170W4 Wide Screen LCD Monitor connected
via DVI. The OS is XP Pro.

When I run Media Player 9 and insert a DVD, the player
does not use the whole display (1280 x 768) but
constrains itself to 1024 x 768. To clarify this, the
video window is full screen but the content is only sized
to 1024 wide which means that I have a letter box on the
left and right sides as well as the top and bottom.

I also use PowerDVD XP and this program correctly
displays the DVD using the full screen.

In both applications, the aspect ratio of the DVD is
    maintained.

Do you have any suggestions that I can try, in order to
resolve this issue with Media Player 9?

I am looking forward to your responses.
