    Hello.

I have a member server that cannot run a .exe file from any shared resource
in our network when run in Windows Explorer. The error is "Windows cannot
access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate
permissions to access the item." BUT when I run from a Command prompt
(\\share$\Executable.exe), the executable runs! What am I missing?
Additional information: The server is in another subnet, that subnet has a
backup domain controller, the backup domain controller can run executables
from a shared resource using windows explorer, the link between that subnet
and the PDC is a T1 using LAN-to-LAN Cisco van, the Primary Domain
controller is 2003 server and of course active directory, there is a backup
domain controller in the subnet where the PDC is which is also a 2003
server. The member server is a 2003 server, also. All of these servers
have the latest service packs, I believe.

I appreciate any help on this.

    Thanks in advance.
