i installed windows live main yesterday, since outlook express no longer
    works with hotmail.

When I tried using windows life mail, I found yesterday that it took my
entire inbox messages, and moved them into the deleted items folder. I just
highlighted and moved them back to the inbox folder.

Today I found that about 300 messages were moved automatically from the
inbox into the deleted items again. I moved all of the deleted items to my
inbox again .... and in about 5 minutes, over 300 messsages just
automatically moved into the 'deleted items' folder.

It keeps happening each time i move
them over. for some reason, there are a few messages from august that do not
move over like that. this is occurring with read and unread messages alike.

I have no rules set up so far either.. hotmail is the only accountthat i
have set up on live mail.

What do i do. I will virus scan again. should i uninstall and reinstall
the whole program. is there a fix?

    thanks

What instructions did you follow to install the Hotmail account in WLM?
Tools, Accounts, Add, New, entering a hotmail address will add the account
    with http access.

If using Pop3 access for a Hotmail account, once downloaded into the Pop3 email client, the Hotmail web server will move those
messages from the web interface Hotmail Inbox to the Hotmail Deleted folder unless the Pop3 email client is configured to Leave on
    Server.

Messages moved to the online Deleted folder are removed after 5 days.

    Please provide additional information.
Type of email account(pop3, http, imap) ?
Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, your isp ?
