    Hi,

I'd got DFS set up between 2 servers but noticed some files (.bak and ~.
    files) were not replicated.
    I manually copied these.

I then found out from here that was the wrong thing to do, so i decided to
delete all my dfs roots and targets and then delete the data from the 02
    server ready to start again.

When i recreated the dfs root etc nothing would copy over except new files.
I'm guessing because of the stamps on them?

Anyway - what i want to know is what on earth do i do now, how do i set it
all up again correctly without it thinking some of these files have been
    stamped already.

Also i want it to include .bak and ~. files but it won't let me select them
until i've already started replication, in which case it misses them out.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks.

Usually files that begin with the "~" character are temp files and aren't
replicated. I have never been able to force this, not to say it isn't
possible, but I can't figure it out. If i could then maybe file locking
would be possible across replication groups.
