The IE blog (http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/04/24/582542.aspx) and the
IE 7 info index (http://msdn.microsoft.com/ie/infoindex/default.aspx) both
mention the Feedback site at Microsoft Connect where you can supposedly see a
    bug database and submit bugs.

The site the IE blog links to is not found, and when I go to Microsfot
Connect dirrectly and look at the available programs I can't find anything
    about IE 7.

What's up with this? Was this intentionally removed and why?

I got the same thing. I contacted their support staff by email, and they said:

The bug reporting site for IE 7 has been closed. It no longer appears in the
    list of Available Connections.

We are pleased to announce that Internet Explorer 7 is no longer a beta, but
has been released to the world.

  3. To report bugs get the tool here:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=43655

Since you are not an official beta tester you won't be able to go back and
reread them, but Microsoft will definitely read them.
