I have purchased a new laptop. I could sync my 'Money
2004' data on my previous laptop with my Pocket PC but
cannot do the same with my new laptop. My Pocket PC has
all the data from my previous laptop but does not
    transfer to new laptop.

Have you established more than one partnership with your Pocket PC? Money
for the Pocket PC will only synchronize with one computer. You cannot use
Money for the Pocket PC to synchronize between Money on two different

If you are synchronizing only with your new laptop PC, does it display any
error message? Are you able to synchronize other information items.
    Example: Inbox.

For tips on moving data from your Pocket PC to desktop Microsoft Money, I
would suggest you take a look at the ReadMe file. This file can be located
    in the following path

    <drive letter>:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Microsoft Money for
    Pocket PC

I recently had a similar experience on desktops. It took a few tries but it
eventually worked by reinstalling pocketmoney on the ppc after getting the
    desktop version transactions right.

I had to establish money on the pc first, then reinstall pocket money, it
said you could install pocket money over an existing copy but this wouldn't
work for me- I had to uninstall it, then reinstall which meant synching the
data with the PC, losing the data I'd had on the ppc, but this was
re-synched with the PC's data set. Even then it took a few tries and a few
reboots/resets before it all decided to kick into life. I can't really point
to any one thing that sorted it apart from reinstalling pocket money, but I
found hints to my solution or the link to hints amongst this little lot:

Oh- and Money didn't show in active syncs list of programs it was synching
at first, but was in the settings where you tick it to let activesync enable
synching, but it had no tick box. It took a few reboots before the tick box
appeared and I could actually tick the thing, but it all sorted itself out
    after that was done.

There is one unsynched item showing on the active sync for money that I
haven't tracked down yet but the figures and transactions are correct.

    Best of luck

    (and thanks go to glyn).
