I am replacing a member file server running Win2K with a new member Server
2003 box. This is a simple 1 to 1 migration with very few shares. The old
box will be decommissioned when the new one is tested and functional. I want
to allow my users to retain their current persistent mappings and hard coded
UNC paths, but I don't want to use DFS. I simply want to rename the old
server and then rename the new server with the old name. Can I accomplish
    this using the Netdom.exe utility?

Forgot to mention I will use FSMT to migrate files, shares, and permissions.
