Migrate win2k & NT to Win2k3

I currently have a new win2k3 server up and running with a .com label
On the network I have 2 Win NT4 boxes, (1 running just file storage and 1
    running a shared who's in application. ), 1 Win2k server running terminal
    services.

I put a new (temporary)NT4 box on the network, made it the PDC, then
upgraded it to Win2k server DC. Everything has been stable for a while. I
want to make my Win2k3 server the DC.

Should I upgrade the temporary server to Win2k3 (inplace) then transfer
everything to the new Win2k3 server or can I just transfer from the 2k
    server?
How will the single label domain label NT boxes react with the Win2k3 .com
label domain? (I need the NT boxes a little longer)

  2. Bobby,

Both ways would work. I've done both. Once you run ADPREP /Forestprep &
ADPREP /Domainprep you can do either.
As long as you keep WINS running you shouldn't have any issues with you NT
    boxes.
