migrating DVR-MS to any non-Microsoft formats ...

Discussion in 'Windows Media Center' started by Marcello Scotti, Jan 1, 2006.

  1. Hello everybody ...

i am new to MCE and to DVR-MS ... so please bear a bit with my
    ignorance on these subjects.
I would like to know if there is a "tool" from microsoft or any other´s
to re encode DVR-MS to .avi or .mpg
I own the Canopus Procoder -software that supossedly reencodes
EVEN DVR-MS- but when i open the file it says that it can´t recognize
    this format.

    any suggestions?

    thanks in advance

  3. Hi Doug,

    thanks for your reply ...
I have already tried with this one ... and reinstalled and tried again ...
But EVERY time, as soon as you begin exporting the file, the DVR Ripper
(in fact the TVShowExport system) collapses and here it comes the usual
and useless window "TVShowExport has encounteres a problem and needs
to close .... yada yada ... Please tell Microsoft ...."

    Any ideas?

    best regards,

    Marcello

  5. Hey Kaleb,

I downloaded the videoredo, and as soon as I began to try it .... voila!
    ....
"Unable to open the document ... yada yada yada ...", so I sent these guys
a mail asking them for advice amd they replied very very soon and told me
that I was right ... their alpha version has this problem .... But they
    showed
    me to their beta version
    http://www.videoredo.net/beta/VideoReDoPlus-2-1-2-441.exe
    and it works fine ...

regards and thanks for the tip ,
