    Hi all
    Following question:

    Existing environment SBS 2003 Standard

Customer will install Exchange Front-end / Back-end, ISA 2004 and another DC
in a Branch Office. I only find the way to buy the transition pack or to
build a new domain. Does it exists a whitepaper to migrate a sbs directly to
windows 2003, without to buy the transition pack when I buy the licenses
separately to profit from VL and assurance?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Hi Dominek

MS ADMT requires Domain change. Swing Migration does not. See
    SBSMigration.com for answer.

The $200 cost is well worth it to accomplish what you want to do with full
documentation, step by step procedures, and support if necessary. Otherwise
use the "free" Microsoft ADMT method and be prepared for frustrations or
    reconsider the transition pack.

well, i see, this is not the right place to find another way as to buy the
    transition pack.

steve: before you propose to use admt to migrate from SBS to a normal W2K3
domain, you must understand admt and to know that the use of admt is only
possible to migrate from normal domain to sbs.

my problem is, when i buy the transition pack i dont have the possibility to
buy software assurance. this means, when microsoft relases the new Exchange i
must buy a new one without upgrade possibility. OK, i can wait until exchange
is relased, but i only will recieve the same version Exchange 2003.

I dont understand why microsoft dont gives the possibility to migrate
without to buy the transition pack.

this company wane grow up, this is not possible with sbs, and so i have the
only way to build a new domain and to sell the sbs OS at ebay.
