I've just upgraded to the latest beta version fdollowinf problems polling my
Hotmail A/C. In the older version I could minimize to the sysem tray with
WLMD rnning in the background. On the latest, when I click the X, WLMD seems
to exit completely and I have to go through the whole log in process again.
    Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem.

This was 'Michael's suggestion: ~click the WLM in system tray, select
    "minmize to system tray".

    hope it helps .~

I don't even have the option of minimizing to system tray when I click on
WLM in the system tray. Any other suggestions? I'm starting to regret my
decision to sign up for WLM....

In the English versions, it's called, for some unfathomable reason,
"Hide window when Inbox is minimized".

Seems to? Does it work or doesn't it?

Thank You very much. I've been trying to figure that one out for 2 days now.
Of course it had to be something as easy as that! Thanks again, Skyzyk

Please, where is the option to "Hide window when Inbox is minimized"? I can't
find it by right clicking and I can't find it in the WL boxes anywhere. Like
the original poster, I seem to have to start it up each time to check whether
I have new mail even though I have asked it to scan for new mail every 5
    Thank you. Sarah

Right click on the WLM icon in the icon bar. Check Hide when minimized.

I uploaded it yesterday. It is version 2009 build 14.0.8064.0206.
    I also have windows vista.
I cannot find that option you are talking about - I just get options to
    close or restore.
    Thank you. Sarah

Look in the systray/notification area(same place as your clock/time appears..usually lower right of your desktop) should see a
row of icons. When WLM is open, one should be an small blue envelope with a red dot(stamp) in the upper right. Right click\Hide
    Windows when minimized.

You might also consider accessing this newsgroup in nttp mode instead of the difficult web interface.

    Good luck.

  16. In both XP and Vista you should get that option when right-clicking
on the WLM icon on the system tray.

If you are running the Windows 7 beta, that option is missing.
I don't know if it is scheduled to be restored in a later beta.

If you set WLM to run in Vista compatibility mode the option to minimize to
    the tray is there.
