Minimize Windows Mail to System Tray?

Discussion in 'Windows Vista General Discussion' started by zaph0d beeblebrox, May 24, 2007.

  1. Is it possible to minimize Winodws Mail to the system tray as opposed to the
default task bar? I googled it and only came up with reg edits for outlook
(which do not work, I tried so don't waste your time). I think this is
something many people would like to know. Thanks guys.

Kristan Kenney has created an application which will provide you with a way
to control Windows Mail from the system tray.

His post is on this page:

    http://www.vista64.net/forums/vista-mail/26794-minimizing-system-tray.html

The 108.0 KB single file application can be downloaded here:

    http://www.msblog.org/download/WinMailTray.zip

Unblock the zip file (by right-clicking it and choosing Properties), and
then extract. After opening WinMailTray.exe., right-clicking the
notification area Mail icon will show its options.
