Mobile Favorites Greyed Out

Discussion in 'ActiveSync' started by Roger Ridgeway, Jun 1, 2005.

  1. I have had a Pocket PC for over two years, first a Dell X5 and now a X50.
Until recently, I had good luck downloading and viewing websites using
    mobile favorites.
For the last couple of weeks, the mobile favorites are continuously grayed
out on my X50. Why is this?

I have noticed that on the Internet Explorer on my PC , going to
Tools/Synchronize... The properties of the offline WebPages lists the size
at like 20 Kilobytes for each site. Doesn't this sound a bit small? And is
this a indication of my problems?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Roger,

Are you able to access the web pages offline on your desktop? Try selecting
the link under Mobile Favorites, right-click and select synchronize to
    update the pages.

  3. Thanks for the reply. No, I am not able to access the web pages offline,
either from my desktop or my PDA. I have tried to synchronize in the manner
you suggest. The properties box says the webpage is updated, but yet I am
    unable to view them offline.

    Hi Roger,

Try emptying the cache in IE and ensure you select to delete all the offline
content as well. Then in IE - > Tools -> Synchronize the web pages you
want. See if it helps. Again check if you are able to browse them offline
    on your computer.
