    Hi,

Did you try filling in the details you wanted using that app. ,
restarting , then uninstalling it. Think the entries you made would
    remain.

    Hi,

If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can right click and
modify the names for Registered Owner and Registered Organization
    strings.

You will find them under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
version. Click on the Current version folder in the left pane and they
    appear in the right pane.

The OEM info string is under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
version\OEMInformation. I have never tried editing this one.

    Hope this helps

like tto change. I have modified those and they work as they are
    supposed to.

    Hi,

I'm with you now - this link provides a .reg file download to list you
    as the manufacturer

'Customize the Manufacturer Support Info in Windows Vista :: the How-To
    Geek'

Or, if you have most of those already, you could try clicking
OEMInformation folder in the left pane, then right click an empty space
in the right pane - create a new string value- name it Manufacturer and
give it a value of your name.

    Hope that helps

Just tried Win Bubble it does not change the OEM line in system
properties. It does change the pretty stuff with Windows experience. See
the previous posts the 2 lines I am trying to modify are highlighted in
yellow. Thanks to everyone for the help. Vista Ultimate 64 is not xp
but it is faster and right now as stable on this computer. There is a
learning curve but every operating system has one. Thanks again

    Hi Matt,

no where near a solution yet :( but a possible cause of the problem is
that this particular info is hard coded into a file somewhere and not in
the registry (where it should be :sa:), the OEM's are provided with an
install Kit to create their vista setup disks and it may be that this
info gets written somewhere during install.

I vaguely remember a similar system on an earlier Windows OS using a
Branding File in one of the system folders. I will keep looking and will
post back anything I can find.
There is a Branding folder in System32 but nothing looks obvious.

Have to do some work with HP's running Vista today, if I get any time,
will see if there's anything in the branding folder in those machines
