To the fine developers of IE7 ...

I've ben playing with IE7B2 a bit and I am very impressed. Its a
considerable improvement over the first beta. Great job. I do however have
    two suggestions.

    1. I would like to be able to move the command bar off the tab bar and up
onto the ... I dont know what you call it, I guess the "navigation bar". I
have a screen resolution of 1920x1200, so having an address bar that is so
long is pretty useless to me. However, I frequently have many tabs open, so
being able to move the command bar up, thus shortening the address bar and
lengthening the real estate available to the tabs bar, would be GREAT.

    2. If I enable the "classic menu" it would be nice if it appeared above the
address bar, not below it, like it does in every other windows program I have
ever seen. Even better, if it would be possible to move it to the left of the
address bar so that it doesn't waste vertical real estate, that would be
perfect. I.e. if I could have the top row be, in order, Classic Menu |
Address bar | Search | Command bar ... well that would really float my boat.

    Thanks for considering my suggestions.

To move the menu bar to the top, use regedit (click start, run, type
regedit), in the left pane navigate to

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser]

in right pane look for ITBar7Position, right click on it, click modify,
    change the data to 1

(or if it is not there right click in the right pane, click new, Dword
value. Set its name to ITBar7Position and its data to 1).

That was a fix for beta 2 preview, but it also works in beta2.
