MSMQ object remaining from demoted domain controller

I recently upgraded my primary domain controller to a Win2k3 R2 server and
transferred all FSMO roles to it. I have gradually been demoting the Win2k
domain controllers to member servers only. However, in Active Dir Sites and
Services, the MSMQ object still remains for one demoted Win2k server (the one
that originally was created for our domain).

Can I safely delete this object, or does it need to be transferred to
another domain controller (and how)? I do now believe we have any apps using
MSMQ, but not sure if it is used in other ways.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  2. that object is there because the MSMQ service is installed on the server. Is
    that server still alive?

Remember, sites and services are not just for DCs. Those are for service
providing certain services which can be DCs and member servers
