I´m using the MSN Messenger behind a firewall and sth
very odd seems to happens from time to time.

Sometimes, when I send a message, the message itself get
losts and never reaches the destination, but I receive
not warning or error when this happens. For me, the
    message was delivery ok...

Most of my co-workers, which use the MSN in the same
environment, have noticed the same problema, so I
descarted a problem with my PC.

Can anyone help me? is there a way to fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ariel

  2. Greetings Ariel,

By "firewall" and since you mentioned "co-workers", I assume you're in a work/enterprise
environment that is most likely using some sort of proxy. Proxy servers generally have
restrictions to how many they'll send/receive and how long they'll maintain a connection.
Since you're not the only one with the problem, most likely what's going on is the Proxy (or
whatever is being used to share the internet access) is cutting you off. Unfortunately
besides contacting your system administrator(s) and having them fix it (or change the
settings), there isn't much you can do about this.

Alternately, you could use a web-based Messenger client like one of the following:
    http://www.wbmsn.net
    http://www.e-messenger.net
    http://www.msn2go.com
    http://www.msn2web.com

    Jonhatan,

Thanks for your help. You are right, I figured out that
the firewall is cutting me off, but the MSN shouldn´t
warn me when a message does not reach destintation? I
mean, I don´t know how the MSN works, if it has an ack to
know the msg arrives or not, but the main problem I have,
is that when the proxy cut my msg off, I don´t receive a
confirmation or warning saying that my msg was not
    delivery correctly.
Is there a way to fix this? so I could receive a
confirmation when a msg is not delivery?

    Regards,

    Ariel
