MSN + Hotmail / Passport: Sign out of 1 or both?

From the MSN Messenger window, I access my Hotmail
account with File-SignIn from the MSN Messenger window.
This opens IE with the MSN Hotmail account open. The IE
window has a "Sign Out (of .net passport)" button. Do I
need to sign out on using this button on the IE window,
or just File-Sign Out on the MSN Messenger window?

Second problem. Once I've signed on to MSN and accessed
my Hotmail account and then sign out, my IE starts
misbehaving. The IE address bar can no longer be used. If
I click on the down arrow of the address bar and select a
previously viewed site, that site will then show in the
address bar, but if I click on the GO (to the right),
nothing happens. The address bar worked fine before,
seemingly until I use MSN. Has this ever been reported
before? Any suggestions? I am using XP and IE6.0.

  2. Greetings Debbie,

Hitting the 'Sign Out' Passport button within Hotmail (or any .NET Passport enabled website)
will not log you out of Messenger. You'll need to log out of Messenger separately (using the
Sign Out option in Messenger itself).

I'm not quite sure about your second problem, you may want to repost that specific one in the
    Internet Explorer group:
(click the + next to Internet Explorer 6.0 and then choose Browser)
