Hi there. My girlfriend is in other countries every two weeks, but on many
places she cannot use msn because messenger is not installed, and installing
    is not allowed.

Is there an alternative, so she can login via the web somehow, somewhere?

or another alternative that is not to complicated?

  3. Jan Willem, your girlfriend might also be able to use Windows Messenger,
which is an integral part of the operating system. However, even this
    program can be disabled...

    Hi there,

Your girlfriend will not be able to sign into the MSN Explorer software
without MSN Messenger being installed on the computer because the MSN
Explorer software relys heavily on the Messenger program to synchronize
Email and Calendar information with the server. If she just wants to
access her MSN email and calendar information from a remote location,
    that can be done through

If she wants to be able to use the MSN Messenger network where MSN
Messenger isn't available, she can use 'Web Messenger'
(, which is basically a simplified,
    web-based, version of MSN Messenger.

I'm not sure whether you're talking about using MSN Explorer without MSN
Messenger, or using the MSN Messenger network without MSN Messenger,
so I thought I'd cover both bases.

    Hope this helps,

  5. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put this here so if not please forgive me and
delete it or whatever you need to do, it's just another alternative
messenger that will work for msn, yahoo, icq, aim and a few others along
with irc chat. Messenger is called Trillian which is a
free messenger also and all things work other than microphone for some at
    this time. Hope that helps.
