Multiboot configuration

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by Oliver Siracusano, Feb 9, 2006.

  1. following situation:
I have WindowsXP and Windows2003 installed on one partition using the
    multiboot menu.
Both OutOfTheBox installations (xp in \windows, windows2003 in \W2k3)
After I installed the IE7 beta in WindowsXP my Internet Explorer6 in
    Windows2003 was broken.
It fired some messageboxes about some missing DLLs and stuff.

Of course, it happend because the Application-Directory is shared by both
    Systems.
Personally I think its a bad way and Microsoft should provide support for
side by side Operating System Installations.

Glad, that the removal of the IE7 restored the functionality.
Beside that, I love the IE7 and can't wait to install Windows Vista (of
    course side by side) ;)
