Good Morning - I have two servers, both with a second NIC installed. The
first server is a Windows 2000 file server, the second is a Windows 2003
Domain Controller with DNS installed (running Exchange 2003). I'd like to
enable the second NIC in each machine to create a private SAN with a device
that will hold disc images of the two servers (for disaster recovery
purposes). What's the best way to configure the IP address of the second NIC
so that it won't interfere with DNS? Should it be on its own subnet? If
additional information is required, please just let me know. Thank you.

Thanks - that article helped. We wound up using a different subnet for the
second NIC in each server and that seemed to clear up the issues we were
    having.
