Multiple Remote Desktops through same router

Discussion in 'Server Networking' started by David Langschied, Dec 13, 2005.

  1. I will soon need to be able to setup multiple remote desktops through a
single router. I have one Win2K TS server on one domain, one Win2K3 server
on another domain, and one WinXP Pro WS on a workgroup.

When I try to make a connection, I get the TS domain. I have no problems
connecting to this one at this time. I would like to connect to the other
    two for admin purposes.

    Any suggestions?

if all that device does is route packets from one network segment to another
one (so, in simple terms, a router), i fail to see the problem.
if you mean, a router that does port address translation, as in, it is the
router that connects that server to the internet for instance and that it is
configured to forward all 3389 port based incoming request to the ts server,
then all you have to do is add another pat rule for two different ports on
the 'router' to forward all incoming traffic (or only traffic originated at
your site, which is a lot more secure) to the wxp computer and the w2k3
    server.

in any case, please provide more details, like what kind of router, etc
