Mute button for muting IE 7 sounds but keeps WMP and iTunes playin

    I'm sure there are a lot of us who listen to WMP or iTunes when surfing the
    web and are so annoyed when opening a web page, you get embedded background
    music blarring over your favorite song. Take a look at almost any Myspace or
    Frienster page while listening to some MP3s and I'm sure you'll understand
    how terrible this is.

    Hi Nivek,
    Internet Options>Advanced tab - Mulitmedia options - Play sounds on web
    pages... annoyance removed!

    It is unchecked, but I still get background music when going to a Myspace
    page :(

    Hi Nivek,
    Strange. I will have a go myself. Pehaps they are using some trick to defeat
    the browsers settings. Please bookmark this thread as it will take me a day
