Awhile back someone posted a whitepaper on how to get ISA and Monitoring to
use SQL Server instead of MSDE. Does anyone have the link to this?

    Thankx, David.

  2. Monitoring is not supported on SQL.

It would just be the normal info for ISA on SQL.

  3. Hello David,

Thank you for posting here and thanks for Susan's reply.

According to your description, I understand that you want to get ISA and
Monitoring to use SQL Server instead of MSDE. If I have misunderstood the
problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, Susan is right, Monitoring is not supported on SQL
database. For ISA logs in SQL database, there are two KBs about it for
different ISA editions, you will find detail steps in the KB:

    For ISA 2004:

How to configure ISA Server 2004 logging to log data to a SQL database
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id=838253

    For ISA 2000:

How to configure ISA Server 2000 to log on to a SQL Server database
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300211

Hope info above will give you some help.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    Best regards,
