    Hello there,

I am the student just start to study about device driver...

I try to develop on-screen keyboard user mode application with named
    keyboard filter driver...

I scrap information about this topic few weeks...

and I find the solution to solve this problem...

    "Extra Device Object"

I understand why keboard filter driver can not interact with user mode
    app by IOCTL.

I got success to make key input event by DDK's filter driver example.

But, I don't know how to create external device object exactly...

I refered Oney's "Programming the microsoft windows driver model"...

    Book's code is not completed...

I just look for this topin in this groups, But I can't find any
specific solution to solve this problem...

please, anyone had experience or idea help me to learn and improve!

    Thank you!!!

  2. You are supposed to read the documentation. There is plenty in the DDK and
the examples. You are doing something not a part of the normal HID stack.
Therefore, it makes sense that other examples might provide clues.
