thanks but I had tried that before, my problem is either i'm doing it wrong
    or it doesnt help.
there is NO drm folder to be found and if i run
    it says
    "windows cannot find 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DRM\DataPath'.
Make sure you tyep the name correctly, and then try again"
so i'm sorry but i'm still dead in the water.
    any other ideas?

That's a registry path, and you can't just type it in the Run box, you
need to use Regedit to access it: click Start, type "regedit" in the
search field, press Enter, and navigate to

Alright, i tried that and followed the path of
    c: program data\ microsoft\windows\DRM
isnt there and i have all hidden files able to be seen.
    now i'm stuck.

reason its not showing in the windows folder.

    i got another idea,
what if i did a complete clean install of windows 7 (not upgrade from vista
install) would that fix my problem?

How exactly did you fix it? There might be other users who have same
problem, and they will be interested to know.
