Need help restoring Default Application Prop.

    Well, as usual, when you're in a hurry you mess up and I screwed up.
    was opening a file and wanted to change the program/association to ope
    it. I'm not sure exactly what I clicked on, but it was the *WRON
    *thing. Now all my applications that were linked to application unde
    "Target Type" in properties, are associated w/ exe. Needless to say whe
    I click on the desktop shortcuts, programs in the Start Menu and eve
    System Restore, the dos screen flashes and that's it. No startu
    programs start, etc. I've gone to "default Programs in Control Panel"
    but I don't see what to change. When I right click on a shortcut, ther
    is no "open with", just open. Yep, the dos screen just flashes, n
    programs open

    If anyone can tell this gal how to reset the defaults, you might get
    kiss....... ;)

    Vista Ult 64bit, desktop, clean install yesterday
