I have only been able to video conference using MSN Messenger successfully
if I have UPnP enabled on our Linksys WRT54G Router. That has always worked
well for video conferencing inside our LAN and with other folks I on the
    web.

However, I understand that a new virus works its way into networks through
    routers with UPnP enabled.

For that reason, I have disabled UPnP on our router

Computers in this network are all up-to-date with the latest Windows Update
downloads. Does that insulate us from the virus that invades routers with
    UPnP enabled?

If not, is there any way to video conference with MSN Messenger while UPnP
    is disabled?
