    Hi All,

Hoping that someone might have some good ideas regarding a netopia 4622 t1
router with version 5.3.9r2 firmware. Can't get this thing to allow SBS to
hit the internet, much less do I know how to REALLY configure it
    well...filter sets and so forth.

Is anyone knowledgeable on this unit? Enough to spell out a config?

    Thanks,

    Mike

I setup one several months back and haven't looked at it since. What I
remember of it was having to manually configure a static route 0.0.0.0 to
0.0.0.0 using your wan ip....In my case on the IP setup, I had to add the
domain name of my isp under their dns servers. Example: dns's might have
been 1.1.1.1. and 1.1.1.2, I had to include their domain as theredomain.com.

Assuming you're using PAT, I had to enter 0.0.0.0 as the public address and
I used the default ports from the manual. Don't remember what they were.

NAT Associations I had to add the PAT list and my Easy-servers list with the
    open ports.

If you hit ctrl N from the main menu, you can get to some command prompt
where you can do some additional tests. I don't have the manual nor the
time right now to look it up, but there was a way to show messages going
to/thru the router. That might help you pin it down. Here is the Netopia
    Command Line Interface manual:
    http://www.netopia.com/equipment/pdf/manuals/CLI/CLI_411-538-82.pdf.

    Good luck.
