    Hello, All!
I have SBS2003 Premium with ISA installed. I am doing an 'inventory' of the
network using a program called 'SpiceWorks'. It was able to discover all my
objects on the network, (six other servers, 55 workstations, printers, etc.),
using the administrator credentials. Spiceworks does see the SBS server, but
it can not gain remote access to it, and it can not find the Exchange server
(so it may monitor its status).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same issue in SpiceWorks for our SBS03 box, and for our new SBS08
box. If I recall correctly, there were some configuration changes that had
to be made to the ISA firewall to allow SpiceWorks discovery to connect to
    the box and run properly.

Best place I could suggest to start is check your ISA logs for when
SpiceWorks was scanning and see if you've got any denies/blocks. Then create
a rule or two to allow traffic through the ISA between the server and the
    SpiceWorks PC.

    Regards,

With SBS 2003 yes there are some ISA tweaks and possibly a GP change to
enable remote administration. Since SBS 2008 doesn't use ISA I'm not sure
how that could have caused a problem for you?
