I have recently setup a new SBS2003 with 5 CAL's and 5 users. Email is
working fine for these existing users. I added 2 new users with the Add User
Wizard but no email addresses were created despite them being setup in the
Recipient Policy. I thought this maybe because I had exceeded the 5 licences
so I added another 5 CAL's, deleted the users and added them again, still no
email addresses. I have now manually added the SMTP addresses I need for the
new users and can send/receive internal email (using OWA) but not external. I
cannot configure Outlook on the client PC, error - "The name could not be
matched to a name in the address book" The 2 new users do not appear in the
Global Address List. Something is screwed up here but I'm not sure what and
how to correct the situation - any suggestions please? thanks.

All the other users are ok.

I assume your using Exchange 2003 with your SBS2003? If so all you need to
do is apply SP1 for Exchange and this will fix your problems.

Hmm. Not quite. From sorry experience, I found that you must then apply the
SBS 843539 patch to fix another problem that SP1 for Exchange introduces in
SBS. See the SBS home support page.

Thanks for both suggestions, I'll try them later when I can get access to the
    server.
