How is the tv signal hooked up to your tv tuner?

If anything other than coax, have you fed the audio (from a set top box)
    into your tv tuner?

Jason, It is coax from the wall to the cable box then the WinTv PVR2 then
    into the computer.
As well, even the shows I have not burned to dvd have no sound ...

How is your audio transmitted between teh cable box and the PVR2? Coax too
    I assume? or S-Video/Video out?

The only thing I can think of is to make sure on your set top box that the
    sound is output via coax.

Alternatively, you should also check to see that you have the latest driver
    for your tv tuner.

If you don't get sound through LiveTV, you almost certainly won't get it
    through Recorded TV.

What's the download link you used for the driver that you got?

Can you confirm that there is audio coming out of the set top box?
If no, the problem is something to do with the set top box

If yes, can you try plugging the cable directly into the set top box and see
if you get an audio this way (just as a test).

Gary I just clicked my WinTV shortcut link goofing around and it open up a
    screen (black)
and the picture went over to the media center screen with sound and all.So
my conclusion is that somehow WinTV is hijacking my MC audio , how is this
    possible?
How can i have MC be my main TV and audio source.
I went to the WinTV 2000 control panel to the audio section but I couldn't
find any way to fix the problem
    .....Any Idea's ?

    Hi

Perhaps you should try removing the WinTV software in case it is somehow
    interfering with MCE.
