I have this strange problem while ripping DVDs that do not include PCM sound.
These are the steps I do:

    1. Rip a DVD using DVD Shrink or Decryptor or AnyDVD that does not contain
PCM sound track. 5.1 surround & Dolby tracks are available.
    2. Add this location to dvd library in Vista Media Center.
    3. Now try to play the DVD. You can see the picture but no sound.
    4. Open a .vob file in movie maker. Then the sound works fine.

My media center is connected to plasma thru HDMI. I don't have any surround
system installed. If PCM is supported by the DVD then it works fine.
