    Hi

I was wonder if any one has seen this before or can help please...

I running Windows 2003 SP1, with all the current updates. I'm running
NTbackup at command line to back to file across the network, however now and
again the backup will not run e.g.

The Scheduled task run and no backup file created. When I logon on to the
local machine (console) the dos prompt is open with the NTbackup command line
showing but ntbackup gui has not started.

I have checked the event logs / the backup log but no errors are listed.

    any ideas

The Command line I have is..

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntbackup.exe backup "@D:\Data\Backup\daily.bks" /J
    "%DAY% Backup - Created %d%" /f "b:\%DAY%.bkf" /v:yes /r:no /l:s /m daily
    /rs:no /SNAP:eek:n

    NB
I have a few environment variables setup..
    %d% = system date
%DA% = Monday Tuesday Wednesday and so on

The target is b: is a mapped network drive to another machine on the same
network, running a 1GB back bone.

    Thanks in advance
    Mark
