I just had a mirrored hard drive failure that apparently was slowly
happening over the course of many days. After server lockups today, I
figured out what it was and broke the mirror until I can get a replacement
drive. The server seems to start up fine on the one drive, but I am seeing
the following error in the log:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: NTDS ISAM
    Event Category: Database Corruption
    Event ID: 467

    Description:
NTDS (580) NTDSA: Index INDEX_00020078 of table datatable is corrupted (0).

I also see an accompanying error in DNS:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: DNS
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 4015

    Description:
The DNS server had encountered a critical error from the Active Directory.
Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error
debug information (which may be empty) is "000020EF: SvcErr: DSID-02080495,
problem 5012 (DIR_ERROR), data -1414". The event data contains the error.

As far as I can tell, the Active Directory is working without problems. I
am not seeing any issues with user login so far, although it's a very light
day. I've seen the error in the log a few times so far.

Does this sound like a serious issue, and what should I be looking at to
    resolve it? Thanks!

  2. Boot into DSRM and defragment the database. This will rebuild all the
    indices, etc.
