  1. Any plans for MS to release Office 2000 patches via WSUS ?

  2. No. The Office 2000 installer and patching mechanisms are not adequate to
support installing updates through WSUS or the new Microsoft Update site. I
believe that we considered supporting Office 2000 but it would require
drastic changes not only to WSUS and the Automatic Updates client, but
fundamental changes to Office 2000 as well.

  3. Don.. thank you for a 'technology-related' answer to that question. It's
been in the air for a very long time and this is the first time we've seen a
technology-related reason for them not being supported.

It's also a great reason to help push my clients into upgrading their Office
    97/2000 installations. :)
