I installed the Office 2003 Resource Kit on my XP SP2 machine which I use
exclusively for editing Group Policy with GPMC SP1. I always use local ADM
files in Group Policy Object Editor and have turned off automatic update of
ADM files. I created a test GPO and after adding all of the Office template
files and the resulting group policy object now has the Office configuration
    settings exposed--as I had hoped.

Is it necessary to edit each and every GPO in our domain and add these
Office 2003 templates--even those which have nothing to do with Office 2003?
Additionally, I want to be able to right click on the Group Policy Object
icon, select "new" and be able to have the resultant new GPO to have the new
Office 2003 settings present. How do I do that?

If you administer your Group Policies from one machine only, it is
sufficient to have the templates installed on that machine. The *.inf files
are just templates from which a .POL-file gets created, filled with all
Group Policy settings you made. This .pol file resides within the SYSVOL
folder and gets replicated between the domain controllers, anyway. Install
the templates on the Group Policy Management machines, that is sufficient.

I hope that the information above helps you.
    Have a Nice day.
