  1. I can't get Vista Home Prem. to let me run a program without it asking to
cancel or allow. I set it to work through Vista's Firewall. Now what? I
use this program 50 times a day, and I don't like clicking that stupid Allow
Window. Am I missing something. I don't have a user manual. Can someone
clue me in on this. I may have to go back to XP. Thanks, DK

This is the User Account control, it is a protection to prevent
unauthorised programs from running, it works by running programs with
you as a limited user but recognising that you as administrator can
over rule it. . You can however turn it off from the control panel by
selecting the user accounts section where there is am option to turn
off the UAC. Alternatively you can set the properties for each
shortcut that you use to start a program to run as administrator which
effectively bipasses the UAC for the programs you use each day.
