If I consolodate all of the shares under a single DFS Root, Do the roots
need to have the same names between the 2 servers or can each server have
it's own unique name? Remeber this is mainly for replication of a few
    folders.
    Thank you again.

  2. I'm not an expert on this, but I'm trying to solve a similar problem. I'm
planning to do it using a single root with various links underneath.

Have you looked into using links?

The one-root limitation is documented a few places on Microsoft's site.
Also, I've found documents which seem to recommend putting as much as
possible beneath links in order to have finer control over replication and
enabling/disabling portions of the DFS namespace.
