The string below returns a file not found when trying to play an NPR stream
when windows media player is selected in Vista using IE7 - this is a new
problem that occured after a program installed - perhaps NERO did this. I
uninstalled NERO, but the problem persists.

NPR audiostreams which are enabled with this command:

    javascript:getMedia('WESAT', '24-Mar-2007', 'ALL', 'WM,RM') and call this

    mms://wm.npr.org/wm.npr.na-central/me/20031203_me_02.wma

will play fine in Firefox wm. RM also works. However, when using IE7, RM
is fine, but IE7 cannot not find the page when WM is selected. This is a new
problem - originally WM played fine. The firewall is not the problem.

Vista DX says the proxy server cannot find Port 9100, but this is a bogus
error since I am not running a proxy server. The command for Port 9100 is
enabled: ie. http://localhost:9100/proxy.pac in WM7 in the script config
    area.

NPR has four tests that it lets users run for diag purposes. Here are the
    results:

    mms://wm.npr.org/wm.npr.na-central/me/20031203_me_02.wma - FAILS

    http://web.lightningcast.net/servle...playerid=1&streamref=2&spot=[0,0]&wmsext=.asx -
    FAILS

    http://www.npr.org/diagnostics/windows.asx - WORKS FINE

    http://www.npr.org/dmg/dmg.wmv.php?prgCode=me&showDate=4-Feb-2003&segNum=&getAd=1&mediaPref=WM
    WORKS FINE

    Any help would be appreciated.
