    Hi!
We have recently upgraded from wsus 2.0 to wsus 3.0. After the upgrade, a
    irritating problem has occured.

We have about 300 client computers connected to our WSUS server in a
non-Active Directory environment. Every connection is established by a script
that update keys in the registry. The script deletes SusClientId,
AccountDomainSid and PingID. It restarts the Automatic Update service and
    connects to wsus by wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow.

I seems like all the clients are connecting, but the problem is that only
unique names are shown in the console. Many of our computers share the same
computername, and it looks like these computers connects to wsus at different
    times (e.g. "computer1" has the IP address 10.172.0.2 - 6 hours later
"computer1" has the IP address 10.172.1.3 etc...).

I am not able to look at all computers at the same time. I've tried to reset
computer SID (newsid.exe) with no positive result. I still see only one
    "computer1".

    Please, help me )

You CANNOT have computers of the same name on the same network. This defies
all logic. WSUS is only one of many problems you will have in this scenario.
ALL pc's on the same network must have unique names..
