Open in new tab vs open in new window

    OK I've figured out the difference but one thing I can't understand is why
    someone might want to do the latter (open in a new window). How is this
    option useful?

    Why simply to see two web pages or more at once

    Can you split the screen to see two pages simultaneously? (Like splitting
    the screen in Word?)

    Sure, you can easily resize the window after double-clicking on the window
    title bar.

    Another way is to click on the taskbar where one ie windowbis located, and
    then holding ctrl, left-click on the window button of another window. Now let
    go of all buttons and right-click on one of the selected window buttons and
    select 'tile windows vertically'
