I am totally new to scripting and was wondering if there is a way to write a
script to open a certain website or url in internet explorer without changing
the home page on a windows XP client machine?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

  2. In Wndows PowerShell do the following:

    $ie = new-object -comobject InternetExplorer.Application
    $ie.navigate2("http://www.microsoft.com")
    $ie.visible = $true

    Replace the URL, as appropriate.
