options for improvment

    Please help

    At the moment I have a xp home pc running norton avirus with norton firewall
    connected to broadband with AnalogX proxy on it connected to a hub with 5
    other pcs running Win98se connected

    a peer to peer

    What are my options for improvment

    If I get a router they will all have to have av and firewall

    how does a server work

    pls help me thanks

    Most broadband routers are also a hardware firewall. Yes you'll need AV
    protection on each pc no matter how you connect.

    why is a server better than peer to peer and how should cabling be arranged
