Ordering of Signatures?

    classic mode, dial-up.)

In Windows Live Mail, under Tools > Options > Signatures,
the signatures are listed in alphabetical order, which is
fine with me. However, in the message composition window,
when I click on the Signatures button, the various
signatures appear to be in either random or chronological
order. Is there a way to re-order the signature list on the
message composition window so it is alphabetical?

    Thanks.

No. There are about a dozen of them, and with the tricky
spacing associated with signatures, the effort to do that is
not justified by the result. I was hoping for a much easier
solution to what is really a pretty minor problem.

    Thanks.

I get the same problem. Has anyone found a solution yet. I have more than 30 of them and it would make like much more convenient to have in alphabetical order. Cheers

What you see is what you get, it appears. I can't find any way to re-order them
in the selection list for a new message.

    Hi, Ora (and CW).

    If Steve Boots doesn't know a way, there probably isn't one. :>{

But you CAN set one Sig as the Default. And you can set a different default
    for each of several accounts.

On the Signatures screen, click the Advanced button. The next screen
explains how to do this for different News and Mail accounts. It says,
"Only one signature may be selected for an account, and accounts with no
signature will use the default signature." With a little experimenting you
should be able to set several default Sigs.

(Tip: When working with Sigs, it's very frustrating to have to start back
through the File | Options | Mail | Signatures rigmarole to test each slight
change. So I right-clicked on Mail in that sequence and added it to my QAT
(Quick Access Toolbar). Also, before going to the Signatures screen, I
leave my draft message open in the Compose window; Windows puts an icon for
it in the Taskbar. After editing the text in the Sig box, I click Apply.
Then, without closing the editing screen, I click the icon for the open
draft. Working with Sigs still takes some practice, but the cumbersome
    process can be shortened somewhat.)

This does not alphabetize the list, which is what you asked for, but it
might provide at least a partial solution for your needs.

I'm using WLM 12 and both Signature options for user created named
    signatures are alpha ordered
-New message composition window 'Insert Signature'
    and
    - Options/Mail/Signature tab
