    Hello All,
I have a Win 2k3 SBS w/ Exchange 2K3. the client has Outlook 2K3 on the
desktop. Outlook is setup with 3 pop email accts. , and an Exchange acct (
    for calendar only).
My internal domain is kgc.local my pop acct domain is kgeety.com

If I send an email with outlook with address I receive an
    NDR saying

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----

    (reason: 550 Host unknown)

    ----- Transcript of session follows ----- 550 5.1.2 <>... Host
unknown (Name server: kgc.local: host not

I make sure to select the correct acct that I want the mail to be sent with,
it is even the default account.

Can someone explain to me what I am missing here? I don't want exchange to
try to send any email to the outside world, but it seems that's what's
    trying to occur.

If I resend the message it goes to where it's supposed to

    Any help is appreciated

  2. When you log on and off with the user, exchange will reset itself as your
default in Outlook 2003. There is a registry hack to get around this
change. If that seems like it will help, let me know and I will post it.
