I solved my problem with IE 7....

After testing it (along with the two patches) on a machine that had never
had IE 7 on it (it failed miserably by the way) I went back to IE 6. I'll
stick with IE 6 until Microsoft gets their act together and puts out a
working version of IE 7 (other than the tabbed browsing - which really didn't
work very well - there wasn't much that I liked about IE 7).

Thanks for posting back. Should you encounter validation problems in the
future, you can post to Windows Update or WinXP General newsgroups.

After installing the latest build of IE7 beta 2 v7.0.5346.5 , i thought the
problem would be fixed , but i guess i was wrong . This problem with IE7
beta2 has been there for the past 2 versions that I know of . Why are they
not fixing this issue ? From what i can see there is way too many posts abou
this exact same problem with the pop up sign in window always popping up
everytime a hotmail outlook folder is highlighted or clicked on . Please ,
someone tell me why this issue has not been resolved yet ?

Did you uninstall the previous build of IE7 Beta2 before installing the new
    one?

Do you have 904942 installed? It's fixed the problem for most of us running
    IE7 B2 (5346.5).

Authentication fails when you use Outlook or Outlook Express to try to log
on to a HTTP-based mail server if you use Internet Explorer version 7.0:

yep , uninstalled fully , no prob's . Reinstalled new build , and that was
one of the first things i thought i would check to see if it had been fixed .
I haven't installed the 904942 yet . Downloaded though, but I under the
impressiuon it only fixed the initial log on or send and receive
authentication, and not the folder logon requests ?

    Qui ? Non ?

..... either way I shal try the 904942 , and cross the fingers .

I will post back my results .

    Thx ,
