    Hi

One of my offshore clients contacted me because she lost all her mails from
inbox (Outlook over RDP, non domain Vista / Outlook 2007, self signed
certificate, SBS 2003 R2 fully updated). I notised that System Manager stated
over 1 000 items on her box. I checked her OWA also and the Inbox were empty.

Since I hadn't any good ideas what has happened I changed her pw and the
inbox started to fill in normally. I suppose that also Sent items flushed but
the calendar is intacted. At OWA she didn't have any Rules. The client claims
    that nothing has changed.

Any know issues related this? At this point I'm willing to believe her that
she doesn't have another PC at home and fetched/flushed the mails with POP3
    account (or smart phone).

    Thanks,

    Juha

  2. I wonder if the Outlook mail profile on the remote computer is configured to
deliver the messages to a PST file instead of leaving them in the Exchange
Server mailbox. In that case, when you changed the password, that would
prevent the messages leaving the mailbox for the remote PST until the next
time the user logs in (with the new password). If that's the case, she can
just go into the properties of the profile (CP -> Mail) and set to deliver
to the mailbox instead of the PST. Then copy the items from the PST back
into the mailbox, being mindful not to attempt to copy too many items at
    once over the WAN connection.
