Well that's two of us...How can we use the downloads from MS Updates if they
are going to screwup our software.????I'm running 2000....I downloaded
MP9...Now I have no sound...I had everything in place to listen to music
before I completed the download......MS Update went thru my system before
they told me I could download MP9, why didn't they stop the problem from
happening in the first place???.Why doesn't MS put a fix on their MS Update
site that repairs this problem???....They sure could screw it up without much
of a problem...Can someone tell me in simple terms how I can fix this
problem??????....I'm just a LAYMAN when it comes to computers....Be sometime
before I trust MS Updates again.......

This statement hints that you should not try and "blame" your problems on
Microsoft when you have-not-a-clue what's going on.

Please learn to search Google and this Newsgroup to find out this error has
almost nothing to do with WMP and is directly related to third party drivers
    and software.
